Immutability Guarantees

The integrity of the audit log is critical.

Database Level: The database user for the application has INSERT and SELECT permissions on the ActivityLog table, but NO UPDATE or DELETE permissions.

Code Level: No API endpoints exist to modifying log entries.

Retention Policies

Default: Logs are kept for infinity (Database storage is cheap).

Configuration: Enterprises can configure a "Ttl" (Time To Live) to auto-archive logs older than 1 year to cold storage (S3 Glacier).
