OAuth & Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) Setup

Overview

BasaltCMS allows you to connect your own email providers (Gmail, Outlook) and AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic) using a "Bring Your Own Key" architecture.

AI Model Configuration

Go to Settings > AI Agent.

Select your provider (e.g., OpenAI).

Enter your API Key in the secure field.

Click Verify & Save.

Troubleshooting

Common connection issues:

Invalid API Key: Double-check for whitespace when pasting.

Insufficient Quota: Ensure your OpenAI/Anthropic account has credit balance (separate from ChatGPT subscription).

Permissions: Verify the API key has permission to access the requested models (e.g., gpt-4).
